How to create documents using presets in Adobe Photoshop

Create documents using presets

Step1: Select a category tab in the New Document dialogue box: Photo, Print, Art & Illustration, Web, Mobile, and Film & Video.

Step 2: Choose a preset.

Step3: In the Preset Details pane on the right, you can change the settings for the selected preset if you want to. 

Step 4: Click Create. Photoshop will create a new document using the presets.

In the right pane, you can change the settings of a preset document before opening it.

Step 1: Give the new document a file name.

Step 2: Set the following options for the preset you’ve chosen :
– Width and Height: Provide a description of the document’s size, click on the pop-up menu to select the unit.Set the document’s page orientation to Landscape or Portrait (depending on your preference).

– Artboards: Choose this option if you want your document to have artboards. Photoshop adds an artboard to the document as it’s being created by default.

– Color Mode: Specify a colour mode for the document. Transforming a new document profile to a different colour changes the default contents.

– Resolution: Specify the crispness of detail in a bitmap image, measured in pixels/inch or pixels/centimetre.

– Background contents: Specify a background colour for the document.

Step 3: Click Advanced Options to specify the following additional options.

– Color Profile: Specify the colour profile for your document from a variety of options.

– Pixel Aspect Ratio: Specify the ratio of width to height of a single pixel in a frame.

Step 4: Click Create to create a new document with the preset settings already applied.
